Many sand and gravel processing plants produce washed river sand with high moisture content; when piled together, the wet sand tends to clump, making storage difficult and preventing direct sales to dry-mixed mortar plants or concrete batching stations.

The three-pass river sand dryer is specifically designed to handle wet river sand. It utilizes a three-layer concentric cylinder structure to maximize heat utilization and reduce energy consumption, efficiently drying large volumes of wet sand to the customer's desired moisture level and consistently producing high-quality dry sand.

While there are many types of dryers on the market, the core advantage of the three-pass river sand dryer lies in its three-layer concentric cylinder design.
Wet river sand enters the innermost cylinder, flows into the middle layer, and finally moves to the outer layer. As the material passes through these three stages, hot air repeatedly exchanges heat with the sand, preventing heat loss and resulting in greater electricity and fuel savings compared to standard single-cylinder dryers.
Multiple sets of lifting flights are welded inside the cylinders; as the equipment rotates, these flights continuously lift and disperse the sand, ensuring every grain comes into contact with the hot air.
This prevents uneven drying-where some sand is fully dried while other parts remain wet-resulting in a consistently uniform moisture level in the discharged sand. Due to the high abrasiveness of river sand particles, the drum and lifting flights in direct contact with the sand undergo wear-resistant treatment and utilize thickened wear-resistant steel plates; this ensures durability against long-term sand erosion and abrasion, thereby reducing the hassle of frequent part replacements.
Labyrinth seals at both ends of the equipment minimize hot air leakage and dust escape, keeping the workshop free of airborne dust and reducing heat loss, which further lowers fuel costs.
Fuel options are flexible-natural gas, coal, or biomass pellets can all be used-allowing customers to choose the most cost-effective fuel available locally.
The equipment features a dedicated dust collection port for direct connection to a bag-type dust collector, ensuring compliance with environmental emission standards.

The primary function of the triple-pass river sand dryer is the continuous removal of moisture from high-moisture river sand.
Washed wet river sand is fed into the dryer's inlet via a loading system; as the drum rotates continuously, the sand moves slowly along the inner walls, undergoing heating and dehydration across the three internal drum layers.
Operators can freely control the final moisture content by adjusting the feed rate, drum rotation speed, and hot air temperature to meet specific buyer requirements.
The equipment supports 24-hour continuous operation, making it ideal for high-volume river sand processing at sand plants.
It can also be integrated with loaders, screening machines, and dust collectors to form a complete drying production line, enabling a seamless "load-dry-screen-dedust" workflow.
