What it does
This is a rotary drum dryer built for one job: pulling moisture out of steel slag. The wet slag comes straight from the steelmaking shop-heavy, damp, and full of water. It gets crushed and screened first, then fed into a spinning drum. Inside, hot flue gas does the work. The slag tumbles through it, surface water and internal moisture both get driven off, and what comes out the other end is dry enough to reuse.
Where does it go after that? Road base, cement raw material, aggregate production. Slag that used to be a disposal problem turns into something you can sell. For a metallurgy plant, that's extra money from what used to be waste.
