Product Overview
Sludge is the worst of both worlds-heavy with water and sticky enough to cling to everything it touches. Industrial plants and sewage treatment facilities produce it by the ton. You can't just pile it up. It stinks, it's full of moisture, and it costs money to haul off.
This rotary dryer tackles the problem head-on. Wet sludge goes in, gets tossed and scattered inside a spinning drum, and hot air pulls the water out. What's left is dry material with way less volume and way less weight. That dried sludge can be burned, sent to landfill at a fraction of the original volume, or turned into organic fertilizer.
For environmental protection facilities, that's the whole goal: cut the volume down, make the waste manageable, and stop paying to transport water.
Why it's built this way
Sticky material doesn't gum it up
Sludge loves to stick to surfaces. Inside this drum, the lifting plates are shaped specifically to keep that from happening. The material keeps moving, keeps breaking apart, and doesn't glue itself to the walls.
Low-temperature option for organic sludge
Some sludge still has organic matter in it. Run it too hot, and you wreck whatever value it had. This dryer can run at lower temperatures when the material calls for it, drying without destroying.
Waste gas and dust get treated

Common questions
Q: Our sludge is extremely sticky. Will it block the drum?
The anti-sticking lifting plates are designed for high-viscosity material. But if your sludge is past a certain point, it's smarter to run it through pre-dewatering equipment first. That takes the worst of the moisture out before it ever hits the dryer, and makes the whole process smoother.
Q: Do you also supply the waste gas treatment system?
Yes. Dust collectors and waste gas scrubbers can both be included. We'll match the configuration to whatever your site and your local environmental inspectors require.
