Define Core Operational Parameters
Payload Capacity: Determine the maximum weight per bag or carton and allow for a safety margin of approximately 20%. Standard scenarios typically utilize 60kg-payload models, while heavy-load applications require higher-capacity models to avoid the shortened equipment lifespan associated with continuous full-load operation.
Palletizing Speed: Standard models can handle 800–1,100 units per hour. The robot's speed must match the upstream production line's cycle time to prevent the palletizing stage from becoming a bottleneck for the entire line's capacity.
Operational Range:Select a model with an appropriate arm reach based on the maximum pallet stacking height and production line layout. Standard fixed models typically reach stacking heights of 1,900–2,100mm; for high-stacking requirements, models with lifting mechanisms are available, with some reaching up to 2,300mm.
Align with Production Modes and Scenarios
Flexible Production (High-mix, Low-volume, Frequent Specification Changes): Prioritize models that support rapid reprogramming. These can interface with three or more conveyor lines handling different specifications, offering higher efficiency during product changeovers.
Clean-room Environments (Food, Pharmaceuticals, etc.): Select customized models featuring dust-proof and corrosion-resistant housings and polished 304 stainless steel construction. This prevents lubricant leakage from contaminating products and ensures compliance with GMP standards.
Multi-line Alternating Production (Low Single-line Utilization): Consider mobile collaborative palletizing robots. These can be flexibly deployed across different workstations, minimizing equipment idleness and waste.
