Matching Production Capacity with Product Positioning
Define annual capacity targets: Choose a simple or semi-automatic line with a capacity of 50,000–100,000 tons for small-scale projects; prioritize a fully automatic line with a capacity of 100,000–500,000 tons for medium-to-large projects to avoid excess capacity or shortages.
Determine product categories: Basic configurations suffice for standard masonry mortar; however, producing specialty mortars-such as thermal insulation mortar or self-leveling mortar-requires additional equipment, such as high-speed "flying knife" dispersers for fibers and air-floatation anti-bridging devices for finished product silos.
Selecting the Process Layout
Tower-style layout:Materials flow via gravity, resulting in high production efficiency and low energy consumption. This layout is ideal for projects with limited site space that prioritize long-term, high-efficiency production, though the initial investment in steel structures is relatively high.
Staged (two-stage) layout: Raw material silos are located at ground level, with materials lifted in two stages via bucket elevators. This significantly reduces the height of the main structure and initial construction costs, making it suitable for new projects with limited budgets, although long-term operation and maintenance costs are slightly higher.
